Obituary of Robert Frank Filer

Smethport-Robert "Bob" Frank Filer Jr., 75, passed away Thursday August 18, 2022 after a brief illness.

Bob was born on September 23, 1946 in Sharon, PA to the late Robert and Margaret Filer. He was a graduate of Sharpsville High School class of 1965 and married Stella "Cookie" Arbuckle on June 18, 1966. Bob retired from Sawhill Tubular, Sharon, PA.  Loving the mountains, Bob and Cookie relocated to Smethport, PA in 2010. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. 

Surviving are his wife, Cookie; a son Brian (Rhonda) Filer of Bellefontaine, OH; a daughter Laura (Zain) Hamdani of Osceola IN; three grandchildren Madison (Colton) Noble, Cameryn Filer, and Sofia Hamdani; two step-grandchildren, Kayden and Grayson; two sisters Carol (Robert) Brown and Susan (Dennis) Hughes and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a grandson, Chezney Fullins.
