Obituary of Elizabeth Ann Sayers

Smethport - Elizabeth Ann Sayers, 75, of Erie, passed away Tuesday (January 24, 2023) at UPMC-Hamot, Erie.

 

She was born September 8, 1947 in Kane, the daughter of William and Virginia Comes Sayers.

 

Miss Sayers was a graduate of Smethport High School Class of 1965 and attended St. Vincent School of Nursing, graduating as a Registered Nurse in 1968.

 

Elizabeth had moved to Erie after graduating high school to attend nursing school.  She started her nursing career at St. Vincent Hospital of Erie as a cardiac surgical nurse and continued until her retirement finishing with UPMC-Hamot, Erie, PA.

 

She is survived by two sisters, Trudi (Jeff) Blair and Nancy (Randy) Wolfe, both of Smethport, along with several nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

 

In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by one sister, Susan Burnsworth, and two brothers, Thomas and Joseph Sayers.

 

There will be no visitation or services.  Burial will be in Norwich Cemetery, Norwich Twp.
