Obituary of Harold A. Lister

Port Allegany - Harold A. Lister, 86, of Port Allegany, passed away Sunday (April 2, 2023) at Sena Kean Manor, Smethport.

 

He was born September 20, 1936 in Watertown, NY, the son of Harold Lister and Vivian Brooks. On Dec. 21, 1963, in Dansville, NY, he married Carolyn Lewis, who preceded him in death.

 

Harold graduated from Watertown NY High School and attended Williamsport Area Community College in Williamsport, PA receiving an Associate Degree in Industrial Arts/Printing.  He instructed at Williamsport Area High School, worked for Dresser of Olean, NY, and then at Citizen Printing Shop in Olean, NY. 

 

He enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He was an avid traditional bow hunter.  He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Olean, NY

 

He is survived by:

A son: Shane (Heather) Lister of  Mt Jewett

Two daughters: Amie (Greg) Titus of Danville PA and Wendy (Bruce) Whitman of Shinglehouse.

Five children to a previous marriage:  Michael Lister, Brian Lister, Steve Lister, Peggy Lister, Pete Lister

Grandchildren:  Zachariah (Tanah)Titus, Cody Titus, Sierra (Kyle) Showers, Kylene (Jonathan) Fortney, Jacob (Daphne) Lister, Kennedy(Jordan) Whitman, Madison Lister and Chase Whitman

Great grandchildren: Blakely Titus, Jonathon Showers, Daniel Showers, Baker Titus and Kaelyn Showers

 

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one son, Daniel Lister, and one brother, Leonard Lister

 

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 7, from 11 AM to 1 PM at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., 105 Main St., Port Allegany, PA, where funeral services will be held at 1 PM in the funeral home.  Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Port Allegany.
