Port Allegany - Marilyn I. Veit, 84, of Port Allegany, passed away Monday (October 9, 2023) at UPMC-Cole, Coudersport.

She was born January 6, 1939 in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of Clarence and Dorothea (Babcock) Gulick. On September 6, 1957, in Elkton, MD, she married Henry P. Veit, who died on June 5, 2004.

Marilyn was a graduate of Franklin K. Lane High School and was a homemaker, tending to the needs of her family.

She is survived by:

One son: James W. Veit of Port Allegany

One daughter: Linda S. (David) Hughes of Watertown, CT

Two grandchildren: Ryan (Lauren) Hughes and Connor Hughes

And several nieces and nephews

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Clarence, Edward and Harold Gulick, along with one sister, Joyce Nicastro.

There will be no visitation. Graveside services will be held on Saturday October 21, 2023 at 1PM in Card Creek Cemetery, Roulette, with the Rev. Joseph Dougherty officiating.
