Obituary of Clarence M. Gregory
Smethport - Clarence M. “Clip” Gregory, 77, of Smethport, passed away unexpectedly, enjoying time on his farm on Thursday (November 16, 2023).
He was born September 9, 1946 in Bradford, PA, the son of Clarence C. and Jean H. (Malinowski) Gregory. In 1968, in Cyclone, PA, he married Judy K. Herzog, who survives.
Clip was a 1964 graduate of Smethport Area High School and served in the United States Marine Corps. from 1966 to 1968 during Vietnam.
Clip spent his career in various roles of construction supervision and presently served as an advisor for the family consulting business, Thorn Meadow Farm, Inc. of Smethport, PA.
He was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Smethport, the American Legion; Bucktail Post #138 of Smethport, the American Legion; John Berg Post #976 of Crosby, member of the Local #66, and Lodge #123 F&AM of Bradford.
Clip enjoyed spending his time hunting and fishing with friends and family. He was an avid follower of his children, grandchildren and all of their friends, traveling to sporting events and other activities throughout the years.

Two sons: Patrick C. (Christine) Gregory of North Andover, MA and Kirk D. (Holli) Gregory of Smethport
Four grandchildren: Darion, Jenna, Madeline and Timothy Gregory
One brother: Norman “Sam” (Denise) Gregory of DuBois, PA
And several nieces and nephews
In addition to his parents, Clip was preceded in death by three brothers: Bill Green, Jim Green and Charles “Butch” Gregory.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 19, 2023, from 6-8PM at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., 2 Bank St., Smethport, where funeral services will be held on Monday, November 20, 2023, at 11 AM with the Rev. Max Simms, pastor of the Hilltop Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Smethport. Military Honors will be accorded by the Smethport and Crosby Honor Guards.
