Obituary of Arthur L. Windsor

Port Allegany - Arthur L. Windsor, 93, of Turtlepoint, passed away Monday (December 18, 2023) at Olean General Hospital, Olean, NY.

 

He was born November 6, 1930 in Eldred, the son of Raymond and Mae (McNeil) Windsor. On February 7, 2007, in Coudersport, PA, he married Eliene M. Windsor, who died February 15, 2022.

 

Art was a graduate of Port Allegany High School.  He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict.

 

Mr. Windsor was a chemical operator for the Chevron Company.

 

He was a member of the American Legion Frank Burt Post 258 and the Port Allegany Moose Lodge #460.

 

He is survived by:

One son: Raymond L.(Becky) Windsor of Shreve, OH

Two daughters: Linda Hoffee of Wooster, OH and Diane (Richard) Aber of Kent, OH

One step son: Robert (Anna Boston) Bernasco of Ocean Park, FL

Grandchildren: Robert (Kelly) Hoffee, William (Rachel) Hoffee, Raymond D. Windsor, Renee (Scott) Hawkins

Great grandchildren: Toren Hoffee, Marris Hoffee, Maxwell Kane, Jacob Kane, Zane Stacey, Jason Hawkins, Sloane Hoffee and Harper Lee Windsor

One sister: Cynthia Lindsay of Turtlepoint

and several nieces and nephews

 

In addition to his parents and wife, Art was preceded in death by a step daughter, Nina Melinger; a son in law, Robert L. Hoffee; two brothers, James and Lyle Windsor; and one sister, Lois Shedron.

 

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 22, 2023 from 2-4 PM at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., 105 Main St., Port Allegany, where funeral services will begin at 4 pm with the Rev. Michael Culver, officiating. Burial will be in Annin Creek Cemetery, Turtlepoint.  Military Honors will be accorded by the Port Allegany Honor Guard at the funeral home.
