Smethport - Robert J. “Mushy” Marsh, 76, of Crosby, passed away Saturday (November 9, 2024) at his home.

He was born March 14, 1948 in Port Allegany, a son of Robert and Dorothy (Cunningham) Marsh.

He was a 1967 graduate of Smethport Area High School and served in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1970 in Vietnam.

Mr. Marsh worked at several different jobs in his life, ultimately as a laborer at the Crosby Sawmill before retiring.

He was a member of the American Legion; John Berg Post #976 of Crosby and the Smethport VFW Post #2497. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and he loved working on cars.

He is survived by:

One brother: Charles E. “Chuck” (June) Marsh of Phoenix, AZ

One sister: Frances J. “Fran” Kinney of Smethport

And several nieces and nephews

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Koskoski.

In keeping with “Mushy’s” wishes, there will be no visitation or services at this time. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date and time.
