Obituary of Maxine Ruth McFall

 Port Allegany - Maxine Ruth McFall, 87, of Turtlepoint, passed away peacefully on Saturday (November 23, 2024) at her home in Turtlepoint, with her family by her side.

 

 She was born September 4, 1937 in Smethport, the daughter of Gerald and Leilla (Daily) Slade. She married Gerald A. McFall, who preceded her in death.

 

 Maxine attended Smethport Area High School. She had been employed by Ethan Allen, Canoe Place Inn, the Robins Nest, & retired from the Daily Bread Cafe in 2013.

 

 She is survived by four sons, John (Ginger) Mc Fall of Marshall, TX, James (Candie) McFall of Turtlepoint, PA, Michael (Anne) McFall of Cuba, NY, and Larry (Pamela) McFall of Smethport, PA.

 

Two daughters Debra McFall (Ray Shively) of Turtlepoint, PA and Lisa (Larry) Darnell of Argyle, TX

 Many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Two sister, Mary Pinchot of Port Allegany and Beverly Miller of Smethport, PA.

She also leaves behind her cherished dog, Abby.   

 

Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gerald, a son David "Digger", two daughters Sandra McFall Reyes and Amy McFall, and  three brothers; Melvin, Donald and Daniel Slade and one sister Shirley Taylor.  

 

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 from 10 AM-12 Noon at the Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes Inc., 105 N Main St., Port Allegany, where  funeral services will start at 12 noon, with the Rev. James  Kazimer, Pastor of the First Church of God, Eldred, officiating.

Burial will be in the Annin Creek Cemetery, Turtlepoint.
