William R. Barnett Obituary

Port Allegany - William R "Bill" Barnett, 83, of Port Allegany, passed away on Sunday (November 24, 2024) at his home surrounded by his family




He was born March 10, 1941 in Coudersport, the son of Robert and Edith (Rumiano) Barnett. On November 23, 1963 in St. Gabriel’s Church In Port Allegany, he married Norma "Sue" G. Manning, who survives.




Mr. Barnett was a graduate of Port Allegany High School class of 1959. After graduation he went to work for Ball Incon where he was a member of the job change crew and machine repair crew. Bill retired in 2001 after 42 years of service.




Bill enjoyed spending time with his family and riding his Harley. He was a member of the GMP Union.




In addition to his wife of 61 years, he is survived by one son, Darren (Julie) Barnett of Port Allegany PA, and one daughter, Dawn (Sara) Barnett of W York PA,


Three grandchildren Cody (Chris) Barnett, Cortney (Wayne) Stambaugh, Jr., and Cailey Barnett


Four great grandchildren Carson, Case, Conrad, and Clinton Stambaugh.


One sister Donna (Richard) Anderson of Port Allegany.




Bill was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Betty Doshier.




Following Bill’s wishes there will be no visitation or services at this time.


Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Port Allegany.




Memorials if desired may be made to the Potter County Hospice or the Port Allegany Ambulance Servcice.`
