Smethport - Catherine L.H. Huber, 87, of Smethport, died Tuesday (April 13, 2010) in the Sena Kean Manor, Smethport. She was born April 17, 1922 in Cuba, NY, a daughter of Edward E. and Catherine Clinton Holliday. On Sept. 2, 1943, in Allegany, NY, she married Edward H. Huber, who died June 2, 1964. Mrs. Huber attended schools in South Cuba, Obi, Cuba High School, Hazel Hurst High School, and Hinsdale High School. She had worked at Acme Electric in Cuba, NY, 3 factories in Kane, Griffin's Truck Stop, helped run her husband's shop, "Ed's Shop" at Lantz Corners, until his death in 1964, had delivered milk for Modern Dairy, worked also at Northern Hardwood Rounds in Mt. Jewett, and was lastly employed by Sena Kean Manor as a nurse aide for 8 years, until her retirement in 1984. She attended the West Clarksville Baptist Church, Regular Baptist Church of Smethport, the Coleville Christian Gospel Church, and Hilltop Baptist Church, where she has been a member for many years. She is survived by several cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by an infant brother. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 10-11 A.M. at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., 2 Bank St., Smethport, PA, where funeral and committal services will be held at 11 A.M. with the Rev. Max Simms, pastor of the Hilltop Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Smethport.
