Obituary of Tracy A. Chappell

Port Allegany - Tracy A. Chappell, 41, of Turtlepoint, died unexpectedly, Wednesday (November 28, 2012) at her residence. She was born Jan 9, 1971 in Olean, NY, a daughter of Gordon A. Taylor and Dorothy Lamont. On July 29, 1989, in Millport, PA, she married Jeffrey D. Chappell, who survives. Mrs. Chappell was a 1988 graduate of Oswayo Valley High School and attended Beauty School in Dayton, OH. She owned and operated her own shop, Tracy's Beauty Salon in Turtlepoint. She was a member and officer of the Board of Trustees at the First Church of God of Eldred, was a youth group leader and Sunday school teacher at church, and was instrumental in the construction of the new church building. In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by two sons: Taylor A. Chappell and Geoffrey D. Chappell, both of Turtlepoint, PA three sisters: Tammy (William) Slater and Tricia (Mark) Olmstead, both of Shinglehouse, PA, Tawny Taylor of Portville, NY two brothers: William (Vera Bressan) Taylor of Little Genessee, NY and Gordon B. (Nancy Ervay) Taylor of Eldred, PA 17 nieces and nephews, 1 great niece and 2 great nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday from 2 - 4 and 6-8 PM at the First Church of God of Eldred, Main St, Eldred, PA. Funeral and committal services will be held on Saturday, December 1 at 11:00 am from the First Church of God of Eldred, with the Rev. James A. Kazimer, pastor, officiating.
