Obituary of Charles V. Mechanye

Smethport - Charles V. Mechanye, 59, of Utica, NY, died unexpectedly, Thursday (June 10, 2010) in the Olean General Hospital, Olean, NY. He was born Sept. 1,1950 in Renovo, PA, a son of Victor and Pearl Billings Mechanye. On Aug. 20, 1972, in Genesee, PA, he married Susan Farley, who died on Aug. 31, 2002 . Mr. Mechanye was a graduate of Renovo High School and worked as a welder for the PA Dept. of Transportation, until his retirement. He is survived by two sons: Victor (Jeanie) Mechanye of Hubert, NC, Jon (Stephanie) Mechanye of Utica, NY Grandson, Justin Mechanye of Hubert, NC. two sisters: Helen Moran of Utica, NY, Nancy Britt of Hayes, VA one brother: Kenny Schmoke of Lee Center, NY, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Bob and Wayne Schmoke. There will be no visitation or services.
