Obituary of Katherine B. Ennis

Smethport - Katherine B. Ennis, 67, of Smethport, died Tuesday (October 26, 2010) in the Lakeview Senior Care & Living Ctr., Smethport. She was born Dec. 5, 1942 in Kane, a daughter of Arthur and Margaret Gillen Beckstrom. Ms. Ennis was a 1960 graduate of Smethport High School and a graduate of Jamestown Business College. She had worked as a secretary at Corning Glass Works of Bradford, PA She was a member of St. Elizabeth Church, Smethport, a former member of the Smethport Country Club, and was in former bowling leagues. She is survived by two sons: Paul A. Ennis of Kane, PA, Scott E. Ennis of Jim Thorpe, PA; and 4 Grandchildren In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Julie M. Ennis, in 1988. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30am at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., 2 Bank St., Smethport, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said in St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church, Smethport on Thursday at 11 am, with the Rev. Vincent P. Cieslewicz, pastor, as Celebrant. Burial will be in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Smethport. Memorials may be made to St. Elizabeth Church organ fund or the Hamlin Memorial Library.
