Obituary of Robert H. Cradduck

Smethport - Robert H. Cradduck, 82, of Smethport, died Wednesday (October 27, 2010) at his residence in Smethport. He was born July 25, 1928 in Olean, NY, a son of Lyle H. and Sarah E. Black Cradduck. Mr. Cradduck was a graduate of Eldred High School and served with the U.S. Maritime Service from 1944 to 1946. He then served in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953. Mr. Cradduck was an electrical engineer employed by GTE Sylvania of Emporium, PA. He was a member of Smethport Country Club, the Arctic Circle Club of the Northwest Territories, Canada, the American Legion; Bucktail Post #138 of Smethport, where he had been a Past Post Commander, McKean Lodge #388 F&AM, the Coudersport Consistry, and was a Smethport Legion Baseball Coach. He is survived by one sister: Isabel Cicero of Leicester, NY and a sister in law, Marian Cradduck of Smethport, PA., and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Terry Lynn Cradduck, a brother, Lyle T. Cradduck, and a sister, Carolyn R. Roof. A memorial gathering and service will be held Saturday, October 30, from 2-4 pm from the Smethport Country Club. Memorials may be made to McKean County Hospice.
