Obituary of Elinor J. Hendrickson

Smethport - Elinor J. "Noni" Hendrickson, 78, of Smethport, died Friday, November 12, 2010. She was born Feb 10, 1932 in Kane, a daughter of John Calvin and Irma Hankins Zimmerman. On Nov. 27, 1953, in Kane, PA, she married Ronald W. Hendrickson, who died November 6, 2005. Mrs. Hendrickson was a 1950 graduate of Kane High School and was a clerk, employed at her daughter, Linda's store, Munchie's, in Port Allegany, until Linda sold the store. She was a devoted member of the Smethport Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, where she played piano for worship. She also played piano once a month at Sena Kean Manor, enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles, traveling, camping, baking and shopping. She is survived by one daughter: Linda (Jerry) Stern of Port Allegany, PA two sons: Steven (Linda) Hendrickson of Farmers Valley,PA, and Brian (Julie) Hendrickson of Coryville, PA Grandchildren: Anthony (Kristi) Thomas, Jennifer (Ronnie) Hollowell, Cory (Jennifer) Hendrickson, and Douglas Hendrickson. Step Grandchildren: Ligeia, Larissa, and Lathan Stern; Nicole Cook, and Adam Wysocki. 8 Great Grandchildren one sister: Ida Mae Allen of Acadia, IN In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 1 brother and 2 sisters. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 6-8 P.M. at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., 2 Bank St., Smethport, PA and again Sunday from 1-2 P.M. Funeral and committal services will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday from the funeral home following visitation. Burial will be in Norwich Cemetery, Colegrove. Memorials may be made to Sena Kean Manor, 17083 Rt. 6 Smethport, PA 16749.
