Smethport - James R. Bailey, 59, of Smethport, died Sunday (December 5, 2010). He was born May 4, 1951 in Kane, a son of Raymond C. and Jean McCabe Bailey. Mr. Bailey was a 1969 graduate of Smethport High School and was employed in the maintenance dept. at PA Pressed Metals, now GKN Sintered Metals, of Emporium for 30 years before retiring. After retirement, Jim had worked for Rose Hill Cemetery in Smethport. He is survived by: An Aunt, Doris Bailey of Smethport, PA. cousins, Robert (Marilyn) Bailey of Smethport, PA, and Barbara (John) Norman of Clearfield, PA, and several cousins on his Mother's side of the family. He was preceded in death by his parents. There will be no visitation. Services will be held privately with the family. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
