Smethport - Margaret A. Faes, 83, of Crosby, died Wednesday (January 5, 2011) in the Sena Kean Manor, Smethport. She was born May 17, 1927 in Humphrey, NY, a daughter of Clair and Anna Rinko Cooney. On May 17, 1947, in St. Elizabeth Church, Smethport, she married Robert Faes, Sr., who died January 30, 2005. Mrs. Faes was a graduate of Colegrove High School and was a homemaker, tending to the needs of her family. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Church and St. Elizabeth Church Women's Club of Smethport, the American Legion Auxillary; John Berg Post #976 of Crosby, and the Norwich Grange #2018. She is survived by one daughter: Lori (Bob) Gigliotti of Durham, NC two sons: Robert (Phyllis) Faes, Jr. of Davie, FL and John (Karen) Faes of Port Allegany, PA and several grandchildren In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Edward Faes, in 2001. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., 2 Bank St., Smethport, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 10 A.M. on Monday, in St. Elizabeth Church, Smethport, with the Rev. Vincent P. Cieslewicz, pastor as Celebrant. Committal will be in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Smethport. A Christian Wake service will be conducted in the funeral home at 7:30 P.M. Sunday evening.
