I send my deepest heartfelt sympathies to the family of John Conkle. I am just now seeing his obituary. Your dad was such a wonderful, kindhearted man. I almost always saw your father at St. Elizabeth’s when I was home visiting. He sang in the choir and I would sit on that side of the church… right where “the Herzogs always sat… funny the old habits we keep. Your dad always welcomed me with a hug whenever I saw him. The connection between our families goes back such a long way, with your mother and our mother being such good friends. My heart goes out to each of you as you mourn your loss. I pray that God will fill you with His peace.

To the Family of Steve and Shari Conkle,
After reading about your father and grandfather, it is apparent he left his legacy with all of you. Each of you have chosen paths that are extensions of your dad and grandfather's interests. I'm sure he was very proud of each of you as individuals and as a family. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers. Love, Margie Rybarsyk

Our deepest sympathy on the passing of John. He was truly a fine individual and a great person to be around. He and my father bowled together on a team my father sponsored back in the 1950's. I also had the honor of bowling with Johnny when I got older. He always had a big smile and a kind presence about him. He will be missed greatly by all who had the good fortune of meeting and knowing him.
