Jeremiah G. Leapal Philadelphia- Jeremiah G. "Jerry" Leapal, 77, of Philadelphia formally of Port Allegany, died Thursday (July 21, 2011) in Penn Hospice at Rittenhouse in Philadelphia. Mr. Leapal was born on April 1, 1941 in Port Allegany the son of Albert and Stella Dzinski Leapal Mr. Leapal was a graduate of Port Allegany High School, attended Widener University, formally Pennsylvania Military College from 1952 till1956 and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1965 with a bachelor of Architecture. He was a Sergeant First Class in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1962 Mr. Leapal work for Hercules Inc, of Wilmington DE for 34 years retiring in 1999. He then worked as a special investigator for the Environmental Protection Agency retiring in 2009. Mr. Leapal is survived by one sister Marjory Rowton of Hattiesburg, Ms. and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday August 18, 2011 at 11:00am in St. Gabriel's Catholic Church, Port Allegany, with the Rev. James Campbell as Celebrant. Burial will be in St. Gabriel's Cemetery.
