Obituary of Anna F. Jordan

Port Allegany - Anna F. Jordan, 93, of, Smethport, died Thursday (January 17, 2013) at the Lakeview Senior Care & Living Center, Smethport. She was born Nov 6, 1919 in Austin, a daughter of Charles and Alexandria Rytel Fundator. On July 4 1938 in Coudersport, PA, she married Norman Jordan, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Jordan was a 1938 Graduate of Port Allegany High School. She was a veteran of World War II having served with the US Navy. She was the Chaplain for the Gulf Coast Waves Unit 27, was a member of the United States Memorial Foundation and helped with the design and funding for the Port Allegany Veterans Memorial in Port Allegany. Mrs. Jordan worked for Sylvania in Emporium, PA. From 1972 to 1982 she was secretary to the director of Computer Education Center at Mansfield University, from 1982 to 1990, she was secretary to the President of the First Federal Savings and Loan of Brookville, Fl, retiring at age 70. She enjoyed doing volunteer work at the VA Hospital in Bath, NY She is survived by: Two daughters: Patricia A Adams, of Elkhorn, WI and Judy Monteleone of Orange Park, FL 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren Several nieces and nephews and one special niece Agnes Witko, of Overson, PA. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers and 2 sisters. Visitation will be held on Sunday Jan 20, 2013 from 12PM to 2:30PM at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc, 105 N Main St, Port Allegany, PA where funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm With the Rev Max Simms, Pastor of the Hilltop Baptist Church, Officiating Burial will be in the St. Gabriel's Cemetery, Port Allegany.
