Obituary of David E. McFall

Turtlepoint - David E. "Digger" McFall, 54, of Turtlepoint, died Sunday (January 20, 2013) in the Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Buffalo. He was born April 4, 1958 in Port Allegany, a son of Gerald and Maxine McFall. Mr. McFall was a 1977 graduate of Port Allegany High School and he was a veteran having served with the United States Marine Corps. He was employed by IWI Refinery in Farmers Valley, PA. Mr. McFall served as Township Supervisor for Annin Twp., and was a union trustee for the United Steelworkers Union Local 10-607. Mr. McFall was instrumental in establishing the Turtlepoint Area Park, served as bell ringer for the Salvation Army Red Kettle Fund and was an active Red Cross blood donor. He was an avid race fan and enjoyed playing cards. Surviving in addition to his mother of Turtlepoint are: three sisters: Debra (Ray Shively) McFall of Turtlepoint, PA, Lisa (Louis) Darnell of Argyle, TX, Sandra (Moses) Reyes of Bedford , TX four brothers: John (Ginger) McFall of Santa Fe, TX, James (Candie) McFall of Turtlepoint, PA, Mike (Anne) McFall of Olean, NY, Larry (Pam) McFall of Smethport, PA Many nieces and nephews He was preceded in death by his father and a sister Amy Lynn McFall, and his best friend, "Muttley". Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2 - 4 and 6-8 PM at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc, 105 N Main St, Port Allegany, PA. Funeral and committal services will be held on Friday, Jan 25, 2013, at 11:00 am with the Rev. James Kazimer, pastor of the Eldred First Church of God, officiating. Burial will be in Annin Creek Cemetery, Annin Twp. Military Honors will be accorded by the Port Allegany Honor Guard Memorials may be made to the McKean County SPCA, 80 Glenwood Ave. Bradford, PA 16701.
