Obituary of Johanna A. Korb

Smethport- Johanna A. Korb, 67, of Cyclone, died Friday (December 9, 2011) in the Sena Kean Manor, Smethport. She was born June 27, 1944 in Kane, a daughter of Alex and Anna Acierno Cunningham. On August 31, 1963 in St. Elizabeth Church, Smethport, she married Russell K. Korb, who survives. Mrs. Korb was a graduate of Smethport High School and attended the Continental School of Beauty in Olean, NY. She had worked as a clerk for Sal's and Sons, the Market Basket, and Lindgren's Store. She was a member of the Hilltop Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary and St. Elizabeth Church, Smethport. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son: Todd M. Korb of Coudersport, PA Granddaughters: Shannon and Kayla Korb, both of Coudersport one sister: Ruth Hair of Fayetteville, NC three brothers: Glenn (Evelyn) Cunningham and Gary (Cathy) Cunningham, both of Smethport, John (Nancy) Cunningham of Rochester, NY, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great- great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 1 brother and 1 sister. Visitation will be held on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., 2 Bank St., Smethport, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 am, in St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church, Smethport, with the Rev. Vincent P. Cieslewicz, pastor as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Smethport. A Christian Wake service will be held on Monday at 3:30 in the funeral home. Memorials, if desired, may be made to Hilltop Fire Dept.
