Obituary of Mabel M. Williams

Smethport - Mabel M. Williams, 86, of Smethport, died Friday (January 20, 2012) in the Lakeview Senior Care & Living Center, Smethport. She was born May 27, 1925 in Palmerton, a daughter of Arthur U. and Mabel E. Schuck Kromer. On December 21, 1946 in Lehighton, PA, she married Clinton J. Williams, who survives. Mrs. Williams was a homemaker tending to the needs of her family. She was a former member of the First Church of God of Kane, PA. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters: Bonnie L. (Warren) Semmel of Smethport, PA and Kathleen M. (John) Repsher of Pen Argyl, PA three sons: Larry A. (Ellie) Williams and Glenn J. Williams both of Lehighton, PA, and Arthur W. Williams of Duke Center, PA. 18 Grandchildren, 24 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great Great Grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers: William and Arthur Kromer and one sister: Ellen Snell. There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012, at 11 A.M. from the United Methodist Church of Smethport, with the Rev. Rob Hernan, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Smethport. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Hamlin Memorial Library or a charity of the donor's choice.
