Obituary of Amanda D. Burkett

Smethport- Amanda D. Burkett, 22, of Gifford, died Saturday (January 28, 2012) in the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born March 24, 1989 in Bradford, a daughter of Edward T. (Tanya Dickinson) and Kelly L. (Gene Swiger) Stingel Burkett. Miss Burkett was a 2007 graduate of Smethport Area Jr./Sr. High School and was attending Indiana University of PA. In addition to her parents, she is survived by one sister: Jessica Lynn Burkett Dickinson of Smethport, PA one brother: Cody Allen Burkett of Clarksburg, WV her paternal Grandparents, Thomas & Laura Burkett of Rixford, PA. and a special Aunt with whom she resided, Michelle (Tim) Barr-Burkett, and several additional Aunts, Uncles and cousins. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from Noon to 1PM at the Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., 2 Bank St., Smethport, PA. Funeral and committal services will begin at 1 PM following the visitation Tuesday with the Rev. Max Simms, pastor of the Hilltop Baptist Church, officiating.
