Obituary of Dixie J. Wise

Port Allegany - Dixie J. Wise, 69, of, Coudersport formally of Port Allegany, died Wed. Feb. 15, 2012 in the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born Feb 22, 1942 in Windsor, PA a daughter of James P. and Mary V. Lake Matthews, On Oct. 19, 1957 in Bel Air, MD; she married David H. Wise, Sr., who survives. Mrs. Wise was attended school in Windsor, PA She devoted her early life to raising her family After her family grew up she worked for Charles Cole Memorial Hospital in their Wellness Centers. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters: Stephanie (Ron) McGarvey of Port Allegany, PA, Reletta (Lester) Lapp of Cyclone, PA, Elizabeth (Jose) Rodriguez of Reamstown, PA three sons: David H. (Kathy) Wise of Port Allegany, PA, Blaine L. Wise of Port Allegany, PA, Daniel J. (Ekaterina) Wise of Pittsburgh, PA 19 Grandchildren; Shannell, Hannah, Jacob and Caroline Wise Jason, Reletta and Ronnie McGarvey and Autumn (Brian) Roche Bradley (Brandy) Scott, Benjamin (Halley) Scott and Susan Scott Shaianna, Uriah, Ceili, Rionnah, Devany, and José Jr. Rodriguez Keira and Evelyn Wise 7 great grandchildren One brother: Dean L. Lake of Red Line, PA She was preceded in death by her parents and 13 brothers and sisters Friends will be receiver on Saturday, February 18, 2012 from 10 am to 12 noon in the Birch Grove Mennonite Church, Two Mile Road, Port Allegany, at which time funeral services will begin at noon, with the Rev John Lapp officiating. Burial will be in Annin Creek Cemetery, Annin Twp. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., Port Allegany.
