Obituary of Drusilla L. Ford

Port Allegany - Drusilla "Dru" L. Ford, 83, of Port Allegany, PA, died Wednesday (May 2, 2012) at her home surrounded by her family. She was born April 30, 1929 in Port Allegany, PA, a daughter of Francis and Ellen VanSickles Acre. On April 1, 1950, she married Duane Ford of Port Allegany, who preceded her in death on June 26, 1980. Drusilla was a lifelong resident of Port Allegany and was a graduate of Port Allegany High School in 1947. She was a member of Wisteria Rebekah Lodge, 4-H, was a Baptist Sunday School teacher, and a school bus driver for Bowen's Bus Garage. She was also directly involved in the upbringing of Allison and Chase Grimes. She enjoyed baking, crafting, and spending time with her family. Surviving are five sons: Kenneth "Judd" (Kelly) Ford, Francis "Skip" (Linda) Ford , Jeffrey (Lora) Ford, Robert Ford, and Michael (Tammy) Ford, all of Port Allegany, PA; nine grandchildren: Zack (Amanda) Crosby, Joshua (April) Ford, Amy (Aleks) Caveny, Rachel (Jacob) Parra, Rory (Sara) Ford, Thomas Ford, Garrett Ford, Justin (Nicole) Ford, Kayla Ford, along with twelve great-grandchildren; In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, her son Arlington "Butch" Ford, and her granddaughter Emilee Ford. There will be no visitation or funeral services held. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
