My deepest condolences to all of you in the passing of Joe. I have many great memories of time spent with Joe. He always had something to joke and laugh about going on. I went with their bowling team, as "the 6th man" for singles and doubles one year, and it turned out to be "an eventful trip"! We were "home" a couple of weeks ago and I saw in the paper where Joe was part of a winning golf outing in Bradford. He certainly loved his sports-and his family! He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Many years ago i was young and did some bad things and Mr. Vogel was the policeman who picked me up in Lancaster County and brought me back to McKean County he gave me some advice on who my friends were and what would happen to me if i kept running around with the same group and to this day i have never gotten into any trouble except a speeding ticket and this may sound strange but i was lucky that he was my arresting officer, he talked to me like a friend not as a criminal and the conversation we shared to me was priceless i have him to thank for turning my life around, He was a wonderful person, and he was right, the friends i had are still in and out of jail and this was in 1990. And i got married and have 2 beautiful daughters and my condolences go out to his family i did not know anything about him but he had a profound impact on my life and for that i am blessed to have had the pleasure of meeting him in my time of need and i will always remember him as the man who changed or you could say saved my life. He will be missed.

Jane and family...I knew Joe for many years, both while he was on the job and after he retired. He was a "super trooper" and a dear friend. He loved life and lived every minute of it to the fullest! His stories were always interesting and he taught me alot about the justice system and I still use bits of his knowledge everyday. I feel blessed to have known him and pray that the memories that you all hold dear in your hearts will help you get through this difficult time.
