I remember running track with Sam and how helpful he was in teaching some of us younger kids how to pole vault. Sorry to hear of his passing, but those memories are the ones I remember best.

Dear Mary and family,
I am so sad to hear of the loss of your Sam. I remember when he was born and what a joy he was to all of you! I did not know him as he grew up but it is clear that he was a light in the world who accomplished much. Mary, I remember you making bread with him on your hip! Love to all of you and may God wrap his arms around you and help you through this. With Love, Mary Brooks

I was very sad to hear the news of Sam's passing. I worked with him at Cvs Pharmacy in Mansfield. I remember when he got hired how eager he was to learn. I assisted in his training. He was such a bright young man. I always loved working with him he always brightened my day. He was constantly cracking jokes and when no one laughed he would say "why aren't you laughing, that's ok I know I'm funny". He made the work environment fun and light-hearted. I used to give him rides home from work when it was too cold to be walking. He was a wonderful person and I loved having him around. He was greatly missed when he left the pharmacy. I know I'm speaking for everyone there when I extend my deepest condolences to the family and close friends of Sam. I am sorry to say that we fell out of contact when he moved away. I wish that were not the case. We will all miss him greatly.

Sam, to quote Dylan:
Oh, the tree of life is growing
Where the spirit never dies
And the bright light of salvation shines
In dark and empty skies
Love you, buddy.
