Obituary of Lloyd E. Nelson

Port Allegany - Lloyd E. Nelson, 80, of, Port Allegany, died Saturday (February 2, 2013) in the Charles Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport. He was born Feb 6, 1932 in Andover, NY a son of Arthur E. and Esther Hudson Nelson; He married Geraldine Backus, who preceded him in death. Mr. Nelson attended Andover High School. Mr. Nelson was employed as a mechanic and also worked for ball Incon now Verallia. He retired from the Dept. of Forestry working as a maintenance man for Allegheny National Forrest He is survived by three sons: Russell (Linda) Nelson of Burlington, WI, Wayne Nelson and Steve Nelson both of TX two brothers: Howard Nelson of Smethport and Walter Nelson of Bradford, PA two grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 4 brothers and 1 sister. There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at the Riverside United Methodist Church on River St. in Roulette, PA, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013 with a luncheon directly following the service.
