Obituary of Margaret E. Rounsville

Smethport - Margaret E. “Maggie” Rounsville, 64, of Crosby, PA, passed away Friday (April 25, 2014), surrounded by her family, at UPMC-Hamot, Erie, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born Dec. 4, 1949, in Bradford, a daughter of Robert E. and Evelyn F. Knott Carlson. On June 30, 1973, in Bradford, PA, she married David Rounsville, who survives. Mrs. Rounsville was a 1968 graduate of Bradford High School and had worked at Airco-Speer in Bradford, and then worked at Chef Specialties (Backus Co.) in Smethport for over 30 years before retiring. She was a member of the Norwich Volunteer Fire Dept. Auxillary of Crosby and she enjoyed life, shopping, flowers, and spending time with family. In addition to her husband, she is survived by: one daughter: Tammy (Bob Dunlap) Hauck of Smethport one son: Timothy (Brandi Bosworth) Rounsville of Crosby one brother: Robert (Lin) Carlson of Gifford, PA a granddaughter: Wynonna Hauck of Smethport a grandson: Kameron Rounsville of Crosby three step children: David Rounsville, Jr. of Smethport, Lorraine (Sam) Powers of Ocala, FL, Terri (Missy) Rounsville of Angier, NC five step grandchildren and many step great-grandchildren A Half Sister: Sharron (Earl) Simmons of Curve Lake, Ontario, Canada She was preceded in death by her parents and many Aunts and Uncles. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., 2 Bank St., Smethport, PA, where funeral and committal services will be held on Wednesday, April 30 at 11:00 A.M., with the Rev. Randall Headley, pastor of the United Methodist Church of Crosby, officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Smethport. Memorials may be made to the Patterson Cancer Center, 1001 E.
