Obituary of Irene D. Huff

Smethport - Irene D. Huff, 94, of Smethport, died Friday (May 30, 2014) in the Lakeview Senior Care & Living Center, Smethport. She was born Feb. 25, 1920 in Allegany, NY, a daughter of John R. and Emma Cross Cooney. On Feb. 25, 1938, in Allegany, NY, she married Roy L. Huff, who died December 10, 1996. Mrs. Huff was a housewife tending to the needs of her family at home. She was a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church, Smethport. She is survived by: one daughter: Catherine A. Supinski of Whiting, NJ two sons: John L. (Cathy) Huff of Gulfport, Mississippi and Ronald R. (Frances) Huff of Leonardo, NJ 7 Grandchildren: Sharon, Linda, Kristen, Roni, Shawn, George, and Kerri 7 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great-Great Grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 9 A.M. to 10 A.M. at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., 2 Bank St., Smethport, PA, where funeral and committal services will begin at 10 A.M. following visitation, with the Rev. Vincent P. Cieslewicz, pastor of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church, officiating. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park, Lafayette.
