Obituary of Josephine C. Knight

Port Allegany - Josephine “Josie” C. Knight, 78, of Coudersport, formerly of Roulette, died Thursday (June 26, 2014) in the Charles Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport. She was born Oct 28, 1935 in Olean, a daughter of Harry C. and Pauline N. Lilly McAfee, Sr. On August 13, 1955 in Port Allegany, PA, she married Richard M. Knight, who died Dec. 30 2011. Mrs. Knight was a 1954 graduate of Port Allegany High School. Mrs. Knight worked for Viko, then Ethan Allen of Eldred and ultimately was a homemaker, tending to the needs of her family. She is survived by: Two daughters: Ellen Marie (Keith) Sweat of Alpharetta, GA, and Susan Diane (Rodney) Reese of Norfolk, VA One son: Jeffrey Lee Knight of St. Mary’s Two grandchildren: Michael Reese and Zachary Sweat In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Harry McAfee, Jr. and Larry McAfee. There will be no visitation.  A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the Fishing Creek Cemetery, Roulette, with the Rev. H.D. Youngblood, officiating.
