Obituary of Bruce T. Stone

Port Allegany- Bruce “Turk” Stone, 56, of Port Allegany, died Friday (June 27, 2014) in the Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital, Lewistown, PA. He was born July 27, 1957 in Burlington, WI, a son of Harold Olin and Marjorie Ann Testdorf Stone. He was married to Deborah L. Rohner. Mr. Stone was a 1976 graduate of Burlington High School of Burlington, WI and had worked in the oil fields in Alaska, and was ultimately a truck driver for Schlumberger. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Port Allegany, where he was a member of the board of trustees, the Port Allegany Moose Lodge #460, delivered Meals on Wheels in Port Allegany, and had been a care giver for Alvie Anderson for several years. He is survived by: one daughter: Tierney Ann Stone of Racine, WI one sister: Dawn (Pete) Weiss of Burlington, WI two brothers: Clyde (Tracy) Stone of Austin, PA and Todd (Leanne) Stone of Racine, WI and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Jeffrey Stone Visitation will be held on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc, 105 N. Main St., Port Allegany, PA. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 1, at 11:00 am from the United Methodist Church of Port Allegany, with the Rev. Randall Headley, pastor, officiating.
