Obituary of Timothy Jay Wright

Smethport - Timothy Jay Wright, 54, of Smethport, died Monday (February 2, 2015) in St. Vincent Hospital, Erie, PA. He was born August 28, 1960 in Bradford, a son of Llewellyn “Sarge” and Leatrice “Mickie” Transue Wright. He was married to Rose Baldwin Bristow. Mr. Wright was a 1978 graduate of Smethport Area High School. He was employed at Backus Company in Smethport as a tool and die setter for many years, and later worked at Kwik Fill in Smethport before he was unable to work due to illness. In addition to his father, “Sarge” Wright of Smethport, he is survived by: one son: Derrick C. (Kayla Randolph) Wright of Warren, PA two sisters: Marsha (Harry) Sheffer of Smethport and Sandra (Butch) Walker of Clermont two brothers: Brian (Trisha) Wright of Kane and Christopher (Tammy) Wright of Smethport and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, “Mickie” Wright, on Feb. 13, 2011. Visitation will be held on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., 2 Bank St., Smethport. Funeral and committal services will be held at 11 A.M. on Saturday, in the United Methodist Church of Smethport, with the Rev. Seth McClymonds, pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Bradford, officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Smethport.
