Sherry... I just happened to be into this website to look for something and saw your dad's obituary. No matter how long we are blessed to have our loved ones, it is always hard to let go. So sorry for you loss. Cheryl

I have fond memories of Ed as our bus
driver, businessman, and friend. One
memory that I've told many times stands
out. Once, we got on the bus to go home,
and Ed had a double barrel shotgun(opened)
and hunting vest on the floor behind His
seat.
He told us to keep an eye out for pheasants
as they had just stocked them. I decided
not to get off at the farm and ride up to
Betula and back as He let the other kids off.
Just before the West Branch bridge, a rooster
was in the field. He said, "I'll shoot it on the
way back after letting the other kids off. Well,
they complained that they'd miss the excitement,
so He stopped and got out. We were glued to the
windows, as He walked towards the bird. It got
away, but we all enjoyed the "hunt".
Now days, He would be in trouble and we'd have
to see psychiatrists after "seeing" the gun, etc.
I miss the "Good Old Days". My thoughts and prayers
are with Ed and His Family.
