Obituary of Alice Ruth Mahood

Port Allegany - Alice Ruth Mahood, 66, of Emporium, died Saturday (March 9, 2013) at her residence. She was born Sept. 11, 1946 in Schenectady, NY, a daughter of Wallace Dudley and Margaret Elizabeth Jones Spade. Alice was a 1966 graduate of Port Allegany High School and attended New Castle Trade School in New Castle, PA. She is survived by her mother, Margaret Elizabeth Spade of Coudersport, PA two sisters: Margie (Gary) Greenwalt of Massillon, OH and Susan (Frank) Baker of Coudersport, PA a niece: Margaret (Dustin) Crosby of Coudersport, and a nephew, Andrew Baker of Coudersport two great nephews, and one great niece, and her friend and caregiver: Emma Mae Burke of Emporium, PA. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a son, Wallace Richard Mahood on June 23, 1986. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 12, from 1-2 P.M. at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc, 105 N Main St, Port Allegany, PA, where memorial services will be held at 2 P.M., with the Rev. Roger Laktash, officiating. Burial will be in the Grimes Cemetery, Port Allegany. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Coudersport Volunteer Ambulance Association, 122 E.
