To all of Dick's family ~
Smethport has lost a wonderful man!
May you find comfort in knowing that he was loved and admired by so many. Our parents always thought of him as a good friend.
Our many thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
He is now blessed in eternal peace with Ramona.

I met Richard in the late 60's just after he moved to town. My parents were building our home on Bank Street and he asked if Dad had any work during the summer. He did all the painting and varnishing and it was evident to me even then that he was a meticulous craftsman. As the years rolled by Richard built many pieces of furniture for St. Elizabeth Church and was Monsignor Geddes' right hand man. He built the industrial arts program at the High School into a state of the art facility, even constructing a revolving light-tight door for the darkroom! Richard was a very giving, hard working and unassuming man whom I will personally miss. Our community and our church are poorer for his passing.

Dave and family, Mr. Mallison was one of my favorite teachers. I learned a lot from him during classes on mechanical drawing and building construction, and also learned some things about printing presses etc. He was so devoted to your mother and now they both rest. My deepest sympathies to you all.
