I will never forget the day I met my new friend " Bill". I had recently moved to Smethport and found my way to Hamlin lake to fish. I was sitting there not catching anything for a while when Bill and his sons came and set up fairly close to where I was . He musta been seeing I wasn't havin any luck while they had caught several trout. He walked over and said "hello I'm bill elliott and these are my boys . Yer doin it all wrong ,yer usin too big a hook and wrong bait (earth worms) . He took my line ,put the right hooks on and gave me a few meal worms and by gosh the next cast I made landed me a nice size trout. It was an honor to meet Bill and have him as a friend . I feel bad for his family , they all loved one another very much and I know he will be missed badly. Prayers for his family and God Bless them in this time of grief.
