Obituary of Jacqueline Ann Mix

Smethport - Jacqueline Ann Mix, 87, of East Aurora, NY, died Sunday (March 6, 2016), surrounded by her family, at her home in East Aurora, NY. She was born Feb. 17, 1929 in Warren, PA, a daughter of late Harold L. and Jane A. Lindquist. Jacqueline and her parents moved from Sheffield, PA to Smethport when she was a child. She attended Smethport Schools and later attended Clarion University. She was married in May, 1949 and resided and started her family in Port Allegany. In 1959, she moved to East Aurora, NY and continued raising her children and working as a travel agent until her retirement. During her retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her six children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her children: Wendy Mix, Richard Mix and Grant Mix all of East Aurora, NY, Linda Schonblom of Elma, NY, Terri (Steve) Stewart of Springfield, OH, and Sherri (Michael) Johnson of Lockport, NY. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday, March 11, at the Trinity Lutheran Church of Smethport, with the Rev. Joann Piatko, officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Smethport. In lieu of flowers, memorials, if desired, may be made to a Hospice.
