Obituary of Arlene M. Russell

Smethport - Arlene M. Russell, 83, of Bradford, died Thursday (March 31, 2016) in the Sena Kean Manor, Smethport. She was born Nov. 10, 1932 in Farmers Valley, a daughter of Walter B. and Violet M. Hibbard Russell. Arlene was a 1950 graduate of Smethport High School and worked as a quality control inspector for Corning Glass Works in Bradford. She retired in 1996 after 34 years of employment. She also worked for Dale Electronics in Bradford, before retiring from there as well. She was a member of Bradford Senior Center and had volunteered for the Bradford Chamber of Commerce. She had many wonderful friends from the Senior Center and Emery Towers. She is survived by: 3 children: Lynn Kandare of Smethport, Jeff Kandare of Lewis Run and "Chip" (Adrian) Kandare of Lexington, SC 2 Granddaughters: Kylie and Abby Kandare 2 Grandsons: Eric and Craig (Amanda) Kandare 2 Great Grandchildren: Braylon and Ty Michael Kandare 3 sisters: Ardith White of Columbia, SC, Anita (James) McDowell of Crosby, and Jeannea Russell of Baltimore, MD 3 brothers: Herbert "Mike" (Virginia) Russell of Denver, CO, Charles "Tink" Russell of Chicora, PA, and Walter "Bucky" Russell of Bradford, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Kandare and a son, Michael "Whale" Kandare. In accordance with Arlene's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral services.
