Obituary of Bonita June Leet

Smethport - Bonita "Bonnie" June Leet, 69, of Gifford, passed away Tuesday (May 31, 2016) at her residence in Gifford. She was born Oct 10, 1946 in Bradford, a daughter of Harry A. and Thelma C. Loichinger Bryington. On Aug. 12, 1967, in Mt. Alton, she married Gary A. Leet, who survives. Mrs. Leet was a 1965 graduate of Smethport Area High School and was employed at Owens-Illinois of Bradford for 10 years. She was an Avon sales representative for many years and had also worked at Ames Department store when it was in Bradford. Her favorite time at Ames was greeting customers on "55 Gold Day". She enjoyed spending time with family, spoiling her grandchildren, gardening and watching old movies. She was especially proud of her work with the Hilltop Lions Club with her husband. In addition to her husband, she is survived by: three children: Gary C. (Tina) Leet and Patti A. (Emery) Lewis, both of Bradford and Bradley B. (Samantha) Leet of Gifford four grandchildren: Lindsey Leet, Eliana Lewis, Elijah Lewis, all of Bradford, and Aubrielle Leet of Gifford one sister: Pam Elliott of Black Creek, NY one brother: Cliff "Kip" Bryington of Bradford and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be held on Friday from 3-7 pm at the Hilltop Baptist Church, Rt.646, Gifford, where funeral and committal services will begin at 7 pm, with the Rev. Max Simms, pastor, officiating.
