Obituary of Sylvia Cappelletti

Crosby - Sylvia Cappelletti, 85, of Crosby died Sunday (May 5, 2013) in the Charles Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport. She was born July 11, 1927 in Horton, NY, a daughter of Thomas and Mary Frigo Pais. On May 9, 1953 in St. Elizabeth Church, Smethport, she married Louis Cappelletti, who survives. Mrs. Cappelletti attended Smethport Area schools and was a machine operator at Sylvania/GTE-North American Philips in Emporium for 36 years, retiring in 1983. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Smethport Country Club, American Legion; John Berg Post #976 Auxillary of Crosby, PA, the Norwich Township Fire Dept. Auxillary, Sylvania Quarter Century Club, and was in several bowling leagues over the years. In addition to her husband, she is survived by: one sister: Mary Cioffi of Smethport, PA, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 sisters: Lena Petruzzi, Viola Norman, and Marian Gleason. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., 2 Bank St., Smethport, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said Thursday, at 10 A.M., in St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church, Smethport, with the Rev. Vincent P. Cieslewicz, pastor, as Celebrant. Burial will be in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Smethport. A Christian Wake service will be held on Wed. during visitation at 3:30 P.M. in the funeral home.
