Obituary of Avenel Faye Kolivoski

Smethport - Avenel Faye Kolivoski, 91, of Smethport, died Saturday (August 20, 2016) in the Olean General Hospital, Olean. She was born Feb 10, 1925 in Karthaus, PA, a daughter of Homer and Mildred Handley Stroup. On Feb. 28, 1942, in Karthaus, PA, she married George Kolivoski, who died May 20, 1993. Mrs. Kolivoski was a homemaker most of her life, tending to the needs of her family. She had worked at Case Cutlery of Bradford for a period of time as well. She was a member of the Maud Rebekah Lodge #175 and was a very active member of the Smethport Senior Center. She attended the United Methodist Church of Smethport. She is survived by: Four sons: Henry E. (Nancy) Kolivoski of Kernersville, NC, Thomas G. (Lynne) Kolivoski of Smethport, William A. (Marion) Kolivoski of Copperas Cove, TX, and Robert L. Kolivoski of Smethport. 12 Grandchildren and numerous Great Grandchildren and Great-Great Grandchildren One sister: Evelyn Couteret of Clearfield, PA And many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Richard Kolivoski, one grandson, Ronald Kolivoski, four sisters and one brother. There will be no visitation.
