Obituary of Lanny E. Dickinson

Smethport - Lanny E. Dickinson, 80, of Rew, passed away on Saturday (August 27, 2016). He was born Feb. 25, 1936 in Kane, a son of the late R. Earl and Genevieve Charles Dickinson. On Dec. 1, 1956, in Smethport, he married his high school sweetheart, Nancy R. Gustafson, who survives. Lanny was a 1954 graduate of Smethport High School and attended Williamsport Trade School for auto mechanics. He worked for Rink Bros. Garage, Corning Glass Works, and its successors, Bradford Electronics and Dale Electronics, retiring in 1997. In addition to his wife, he is survived by: Two sons: Jerry Dickinson of Gresham, OR and Scott Dickinson of New Kensington, PA, and one granddaughter, Erin. Fulfilling family wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral services. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park, Lafayette, at the convenience of the family. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the McKean County SPCA, 80 Glenwood Ave., Bradford, PA 16701. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., Smethport.
