Obituary of Virginia B. Abbott

Port Allegany - Virginia B. Abbott, 89, of Port Allegany, died Sunday (November 27, 2016) at her residence. She was born Dec. 10, 1926 in Kane, a daughter of Norman K. and Lillian M. Bradybaugh Quick. On Nov. 1, 1943, in Cattaraugus, NY, she married Kenneth E. Abbott, who died Jan. 31, 2013. Mrs. Abbott attended Kane schools and was employed by AVX Ceramics in Olean, NY. Virginia was an avid sports fan. She was a dedicated Buffalo Bills and Port Allegany Gators fan. She traveled to many of her grandchildren and great grandchildren's sporting events over the years. She also enjoyed baseball and softball. She is survived by one daughter: Sherri E. Kinney of Port Allegany one son: Ralph Abbott of Port Allegany four grandchildren: Shane (Keegan) Abbott, Wendy Abbott-Roys, Denise Hughes and Josh (Jorni) Kinney 11 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren Virginia was preceded in death by her parents and husband and a great grandson. At Virginia's request, there will be no visitation or funeral services.
