Obituary of Judith Rose Billyard

Smethport - Judith Rose Billyard, also known as "Grammy", 71, of Smethport, died Tuesday (December 6, 2016) in the Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport. She was born June 24, 1945 in Olean, NY, a daughter of George and Bessie Edna Skiver Mix. Mrs. Billyard was a 1964 graduate of Our Lady of Charity High School of Buffalo, NY. Judy was employed by Sheetz of Port Allegany, PA, until she became ill. Judy was a member of the American Legion; Bucktail Post #138 Auxiliary and the VFW Post #2497 Auxiliary, both of Smethport. In addition to her ex-husband, Robert D. Billyard, Sr., she is survived by: Two sons: Robert D. Billyard, Jr. of Smethport and Ryan G. Billyard of Jamestown, NY One daughter: Sherrie L. (Robert) Proctor of Coudersport Grandchildren: Hope (Jesse Hewitt) McCracken, Scott Billyard, Casey Billyard, Kaitlyn (Courtney Williams) Billyard, and Cory Billyard Great Grandchildren: Camryn and Summer Hewitt Three brothers: George "Bud" Mix and Danny Mix, both of Florida, and Dick Mix of Shinglehouse, PA Three sisters: Dorothy George of Portville, NY, Ann and Marie Mix, both of Michigan And several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Fredrick D. Mix, and one sister, Frances Mix. A Celebration of Judy's Life will be held at a later time and date to be announced.
