Obituary of Gerald D. Moyer

Smethport - Gerald D. Moyer, 53, of Smethport, died Wednesday (December 14, 2016), after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born Dec. 4, 1963 in Lansdale, PA, a son of C. Kenneth and Erma Schuster Moyer. In 1986, in Bucks County, PA, he married Laura M. Singleton, who survives. Mr. Moyer was a graduate of Pennridge High School and was employed by Troutman & Troutman Construction of Bradford. He never gave up his battle with cancer and fought hard to the end. He was compassionate toward his family and was always concerned about them over himself. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. In addition to his parents of Bucks County and wife of Smethport, he is survived by: one daughter: Erin E. Moyer of Smethport one son: Seth D. Moyer of Smethport three brothers: Randy, Brian And Tim Moyer, all of Bucks County, PA There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at 11 A.M. on Saturday, December 17, at the Hilltop Baptist Church, Gifford, with the Rev. Max Simms, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery, Farmers Valley. Memorials, if desired, may be made to Bradford Hospital Oncology Dept., 116 Interstate Pkwy, Bradford, PA 16701.
