Obituary of Tammy L. Coon

Smethport - Tammy L. Coon, 48, of Gifford, died Saturday (December 24, 2016) in the Bradford Regional Medical Center, after a lengthy illness. She was born Jan. 9, 1968 in Port Allegany, a daughter of Junius Himes and Katherine A. McCormack James. On Nov. 12, 1988, in Smethport, she married Randy S. Coon, who survives. Mrs. Coon attended Smethport schools and was employed as a paper carrier for the Bradford Era. In addition to her husband, she is survived by: Mother: Katherine A. McCormack James of Jamestown, NY Step Father: Jeffery James of Gifford, PA three daughters: Nicole Brinkley of FL, Amanda Himes of AZ, Heather Coon of Roulette, PA Grandchildren: Chris Soberanis, Madelynn Lannager, Nataly Brinkley, Brenton Bell and Kayleigh Soberanis five brothers: John Himes, Sr. and Joey Himes, both of Hazelhurst, Joshua James of Franklin, Ronald Himes and Jimmy Himes, both of Mt. Jewett, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Cambree Bell. There will be no visitation. Memorial services will be held at a later date and time to be announced. Memorials, if desired, may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
