Obituary of Gloria J. Puller

Smethport - Gloria J. Puller, 86, of Smethport, formerly of Rew, passed away Sunday (June 11, 2017) in the Bradford Regional Medical Center, Bradford. She was born Jan. 1, 1931 in Rew, a daughter of Ralph and Almena Woodring Means. She married Francis R. Puller in Olean, NY, who survives. Fran and Gloria were married 68 years. Mrs. Puller was a 1949 graduate of Bradford High School and first worked in the cafeteria and as a custodian at the Cyclone School. She then worked at the Bradford Hospital in the medical records department for eight years. After her employment there, she went to work as receptionist for Dr. Danny in Bradford. Her final employment was at Corning in Bradford, where she was a line loader, retiring in 1986. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star; Phoenix Chapter No. 15 and was a former member of North East Harley-Davidson Dresser & Touring Association with her husband for many years. She enjoyed riding motorcycle, traveling, cooking and dining out. In addition to her husband, she is survived by: three sons: Blaine (Donna) Puller of Smethport, Raymond (Gail) Puller of Brookville, and Roy (Jodi) Puller of Williamsport five grandchildren: Jessica Ward, Justin Puller, Brent Puller, Ethan and Kaycee Puller six great-grandchildren: Wynn Puller, Eva Ward, Alanna Puller, Ainsley Puller, Rachel Ward and Silas Puller and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: two grandsons: Kurt Puller in 1980 and Clint Puller in 2006, and one sister: Geraldine Means in 1986. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 13, in the Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., 2 Bank St., Smethport, from 11 AM to 1 PM, where funeral and committal services will begin at 1 PM with the Rev. Max Simms, Pastor of the Hilltop Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Hinsdale Cemetery, Hinsdale, NY. A service will be conducted at 1 PM by the Order of the Eastern Star Phoenix Chapter No. 15.
