Obituary of Arlita M. Kandare

Smethport - Arlita M. Kandare, 84, of Crosby, passed away on Wednesday (July 12, 2017) at her residence. She was born Aug. 28, 1932 in Port Allegany, a daughter of Harold and Irene Green Hendrickson. She was first married to Bill Marsh, who passed away in 1952. She then married Frank Kandare in 1954. He passed away in 2006. Mrs. Kandare attended Crosby schools and worked for GTE-Sylvania in Emporium, PA. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Smethport, the American Legion; John Berg Post #976 Auxiliary of Crosby, and the Norwich Twp. Volunteer Fire Dept. Auxiliary. She is survived by: two daughters: Barbara (Harry) Comes of Crosby and Sue Johnson of Clermont two sons: Dennis "Denny" (Cathy) Kandare of Clearfield, PA and Steve (Elaine) Marsh of North Tonawanda, NY ten Grandchildren, several Great-Grandchildren and Great-Great Grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husbands, Arlita was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Kandare, and four sisters: her twin, Arlene Hendrickson, Freddie Seay, Shirley Keech and Doris Timblin. Visitation will be held on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., 2 Bank St., Smethport, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 10 AM in St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church, Smethport, with the Rev. Joseph Daugherty, Pastor of St. Bibiana's Catholic Church, Galeton, PA, officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Smethport.
